Hands-on Tutorial of Advanced Communication Primitives Library

A tutorial of Advanced Communication Primitives (ACP) will be held at SC14. ACP is a communication library for developing scalable applications with memory-efficient communications. After the introduction of the interfaces, you can experience the programming with ACP on a PC cluster.

Unique features of ACP
Channel Interface
Interface for message passing through a Channel that is explicitly allocated and deallocated. The simplest channel is single-direction and in-order.

Data Structure Interface
Interface for managing standard data structures, such as vector, list and deque, distributed among processes. Through functions that allocate individual elements on remote processes, programs can describe optimal data distribution.

Global Address Space
A memory space that is shared among all of the processes. Any local memory space of any process can be mapped to this space asynchronously. Memory copies, including remote-to-remote copy, and atomic operations are available on this space.
